Xperia X10 Update To Get Android 2.1 And Multi-Touch Support, Maybe

Over the last several months we suspected that Android 2.1 could come with the Sony Xperia X10 when it launches in North America. The rumblings around the Android and Cell Phone Community are that the updated software will be a reality by the 3rd quarter of 2010. The Sony handset will get both Android 2.1 and multi-touch support in the second half of the year according to Electronista News. Source
Now we have our doubts about unconfirmed updates to phones. These reports are based on what some big shot said to some guys brothers sister half the time. What we can say is those who have purchased the Xperia X10 are reporting good things. No lag time and easy to use UI.
The X10 should be availible in stores around the end of April or the beginning of May 2010.
