The ex-10 is the first android operating system-based smart phone from Sony Ericsson.

The tech world has been watching this phone for a couple months and now we can finally expect to see it on the market in mid-February 2010. By that time many other phone manufacturers will have released their android-based smart phones in the US. The number of these Google Phones will only grow in the coming year as more and more manufacturers implement the android operating system into their cell phones and mobile devices.
Though android has been around for over two years now it is only starting to become widely known how powerful and intuitive the OS is. Once all the major manufacturers of cell phones have android OS phones the popularity of the phones will grow tremendously. We can expect Google's android to easily capture a large chunk of the mobile device market in 2010 as they move forward with their mobile plan.
Sony Ericsson is poised to have one of the most powerful android phones on the market. It was first thought that this phone would only run android 1.6, but it would appear that before its release it could be updated to android 2.0.1. This could change though seeing android SDK update 2.1 could be here before The Xperia X10 Release.
This could be the first phone that will give The Motorola Droid a run for its money.
