Finally some news about release dates for The Xperia X10. Some rumors have been circulating. Some say we won't see the phone until the 3rd quarter. This would be pushing back the launch almost a full year from original estimates. That is if its September. The end of April is still the average estimate for most following the story.
Rumors have turned to more credible information over the last several days. The guys over at GSM Arena have dug up some information that says India Will get the Sony Ericssons Xperia X10 March 26, 2010. That's not even a week away.
The development of the India release is good news for the rest of us. If the launch is smooth and doesn't turn up any bugs we are sure they will speed up the roll out around the world.
One more development has come to our attention. Over on the Sony Ericsson Website a White Paper was posted a few weeks back. This normally indicates that a release is coming. Phone manufacturers generally post documentation for phone a couple week prior. That said there is no other documentation or links for support or syncing the Xperia X10.
Will the launch be delayed because of the recent Android 2.1 release delay some may ask. For now the mobile phone is supposed to be shipped with Google™ Android™ Donut version 1.6.. Surely Android will push out the 2.1 update for the rest of the Droids.
